I do not think preening and posturing were what my ancestors were doing in that war. Yes, I am proud to be an American citizen. We all are. You may be a bit more serious about the language, but when one knows where their blood is from, they also know who they are. No, we're not Confederates now, except that we sort of are when we talk here. Doesn't mean we will ever not be proud of the fact we are Rebels. I really am one. You'd kind of need to know the history of the school but I can claim it. We may not all agree on some points but we all try to understand what really happened. We want to let those who come after us know there was honor in those men who have been written about in a pretty unfavorable light. There were good and bad on both sides but I still say Custer need to go. I ain't backing down on that one. Just a shame he took so many with him.
