It's one thing to discuss the defeat of the 7th U.S. Cavalry, and to analyze its causes and effects, but quite another thing to cheer it. Such childish glee does nothing to advance a meaningful discussion. Indeed, most of the discourse in this thread does not even rise to the level of a playground shoving match. I find it interesting that a couple of people have suggested that I be more tolerant in my remarks, but say nothing about the remarks directed at me. In so doing, it seems to me that you all are letting buffoons set the tone of this forum. Or, more charitibly, perhaps you all are, like me, ignoring the jibberish.
