Thanks for posting the info about this book. It lead me to more reading which in turn lead me to some very interesting facts and figures that I did not know. For instance do you know that Mississippi had blacks serving in all units except for 4? Did you know Mississippi lead the way in paying compensation to black Confederates and slaves for their service? Could be wrong but if I read the charts right Mississippi also had more Black Confederates and slaves draw pensions than any other state. I was up until 4am reading last night. Will have to read this material again when I am more awake. :-)
