direction of a more "fair and balanced" presentation reflecting both north and
Southern perspectives. Also, I think your question approach is a very good way to
address the subject so long as the questions reflect chronologically the events
leading up to, during, and after the first shot was fired. As I type this, I am
uncertain if there would be any questions of the type we have discussed that
would follow the firing of the first shot, but there may be. Otherwise, it seems
all questions would either precede or address events occuring during the several
day Ft Sumter engagement.
Also, recalling your first mention of this a couple of years ago, I am fully aware
you have probably invested some further research and design time in defining
this project and, at this late date, including the proposed "fair and balanced"
approach may not be feasible without sacrificing some amount of time already
invested.
It just seems to me that your project, to be of maximum value, has got to invite
both northern and Southern participation. Do you agree with that, or am I alone
on that criteria?
