Thank you for your service, Sir. Back in the day, we referred to the Coast Guard as the "Hooligan Navy", meaning no disrespect. It was meant in fun. Nowadays, with the CG being so involved in combatting drug running and terrorism, it's not so funny. If any Coastie ever heard that from me, my belated apologies. I'm well aware of Eddie Albert's service as a Navy Lt. at Tarawa, pulling 47 wounded Marines out of the water, operating a Coast Guard landing craft, and supervising the rescue of some 30 others.
