Re: Physical and Mental Health Costs...

I remember my parents talking about an uncle who had a tic with one eye. It just sort of twitched. They said he didn't have it when he sailed out during WWII but his ship had a few encounters with the Japanese and he came home from the war with it.
It's interesting they've at least acknowledged this syndrome. Just think of how long wars have been fought and you have to wonder just how so many were able to at least seem to adjust to a peaceful existance once the fighting stopped. I guess there's always been some who may have returned 'changed' in some way or other but it just wasn't given a name.
