Re: Washington vs Lincoln

This entire episode is a model for why a state would want to leave the union. The Union rules have more than once hindered a state from protecting it's vital resources and it's people. The people of the state are the ones in a position to make a decision on an action to protect their interest. The Feds are the ones holding them back due to environmental regulations, workforce hazards, lack of interest. Pick one, all three apply.
The one example that is so very obvious is the case with Louisianna and the Feds over sand berms. What idiot in the federal system sent the flunkies out to stop them? They need to do an environmental study before allowing it? Why don't they do a quick environmental study of what is washing up on shore? There are too many chiefs, czars, committee chairs and very little common sense when it comes to very big problems. I am so much more understanding of the frustration and the irritation the Confederate States felt and it does seem to come to the same conclusion they followed. The Feds won't lead, they sure won't follow, they need to get the heck out of the way.
Everytime I see one person just taking a stroll on the beach (for the concerned look photo file) and then that person addresses the people and does not talk about what he has seen I see red. If ever there were an idiot --, guess I better shut up. If you know where the village is that's missing one, we can tell them where he is.

The Fed needs to move out and let the States work this out. If the Fed won't , the State should have the option to slam its doors in their face.
