Re: Hypocrosy of Revisionist Progressives

"...two rights are destined to make a wrong." Very interesting thought. It sure seems that way sometimes. I've been posting for years about the fact that we blues and grays have more to unite us than divide us in today's culture. We can keep hammering away on our respective viewpoints, but I feel like it's a family squabble, not something most "outsiders" would even understand much less take the time to figure it out. And when one side gets ragged on for PC reasons, we need to step up to the plate and set it right, like you would some outsider dissing a family member. For example, a few years ago my sister in law, a good conservative Christian woman, said she saw a Confederate flag on a a truck and had a knee-jerk reaction that they must be racists or something. She knows little about American history and probably doesn't care much about anything before WWII, because her family came here in the 1920s.

I said, "Nah, I know a lot of them and the ones I know are good people. That racism stuff's just propaganda designed to marginalize people with a politically unpopular viewpoint."

I did, however, say that I wouldn't want my sister to marry one.

Kidding.
