Re: Hypocrisy of Revisionist Progressives

Mike,
When I watch those Richard Sharpe movies. I think of Issac Gerow. Not many turned down Washington's offer of commission.

James, I don't know those films you are referring to, but people who conduct themselves according to principle usually pay a price for it (cf: Morrow). Capt. Isaac Gerow of the Queen's Rangers certainly did and so, consequently, did his widow and six kids. If he had taken the colonel's commission from George, maybe life for his line would have turned out differently. Even so, here we are back in America now and the present is ours. Question is, who will own the future?

I have felt for several years now that the body politic of today is almost as divisive as it was in 1773 or 1860. Lines are drawn in the sand, and all the major dudes and dudettes will eventually have to choose where they stand. Seems to me like bad stuff is almost inevitable. Maybe it's not, but that's the way it feels. My spider sense is tingling like crazy, to evoke a popular cultural image.
