I have tried to find 'Camp Jackson'. Problem is, with Andy J being here a few times and staying all over like he did, there's more than one. I do believe the one you may be looking for was in what is now Navy Point (the post WWII subdivision and the best place on earth to be a kid in and I know that for a fact) and it was probably, best guess by a couple of historians on the tip of Bayou Grande almost facing NAS Pensacola's main gate across the water. But---- it could also have been on NAS proper outside of the walls of Ft Barrancas. We locals have too much information sometimes. Too many choices-----:) No proof! :( Too much Jackson.
I think, and it's a big 'think', some paperwork my son in law is reading now and is going to give to me may have some really neat stuff in it on the action that went on in the North end of the county when the Yanks chased the Rebs. Location on some campsites and such. Trouble is, it was written by a gentleman (now deceased) on his early memories in the Gonzalez and Cantonment area. I believe Bob Bradley on the Alabama board knew him and probably knows more than I do on those subjects.
