With all due respect, sir, it's this exact sort of thinking that loses rights and freedoms. It does not matter one whit whether you see or understand why your fellow citizens might "need" or "want" any particular weapon. It is their right, guaranteed by the U.S. 2nd Amendment, to own such weapons for defense if they so choose to do so. That's the only thing anybody needs to see or understand about it.
