When you take on a project you seem to multiply it don't you? There's a whole lot of information you're dealing with and it sounds like all of it will make for some interesting reading. A family friend who was like another Grandfather to me flew biplanes and triplanes. He was from Indy and he was a test driver at the track when they wore leather helmets and the brickyard was newly laid brick. He retired here after WWII and he and his wife lived across the street from us for a while but then moved still in town. He was also an artist. One of his oils of the biplanes and triplanes is hanging in the Museum of Naval Avation at NAS Pensacola. I have a couple of oils he did for me but they aren't of planes. It seems like anyone connected to the new fangled air planes back then was full of interesting tidbits and tall tales. Hope you can get all of the stuff in your in box done. We need those stories from the memories of those who lived them. Such a special breed and deserving of much respect.
I'll try to pin down more on the Camp Jackson but I just don't really know where else to go with it. The photo of the Escambia Hotel is Chase's house downtown and the Mallory house was next door and in the photo looks like they were almost connected. I'm having fun playing with the search engine at the Fl Archives site now. Lot of things we never knew existed. Hmmm,

Pam
