Hmm, that's really interesting. There are so many little tid bits that may or may not make a story but sometimes you have to wonder about what hasn't been written. Lot of path crossing back then. I'm going to do some more digging on FC. As far as I know, the rest of the family is like hubby, clueless. They didn't know anything years ago when I asked about some people I thought may be been related. The only one they know is Hubby's grandfather and he was Chief of Police here til he died in 1947. Guess that is all they felt they needed to know.

I can't help but wonder if F.C. was just angry about not getting any response from DC or if he planned to join the CS Army anyway. What a dang puzzle. He also designed some sort of stirrup or something. Gotta go back and find that paper.
