Let me say this. The fact of Jefferson's genius cannot be denied. I believe it was Kennedy who said to a number of scientist that he was dining with "that there had not been that much genius around the table since Jefferson dined alone." Or words to that effect. I also know that Hamilton is not that well thought of by the political descendants of Jefferson and company. However this fact remains...while Hamilton was fighting in the Revolutionary war, Jefferson was picking out drapes and wine in gay Paris. Just the way I see it. I think you will like the book. If memory serves me right you are related to Hamilton...that might not get you far at DCV...but I think you should be proud of his many contributions.
