Lee not vs. Lincoln? Why?

Pam, Lincoln had a lot in common with Woodrow Wilson, FDR and Obama. He was, as Walter Williams said, The Great Centralizer. He wanted nothing less than creating a huge FEDERAL government and subordinating the State Governments and thus all the individual citizens. He had contempt for the U.S. Constitution, just like these other Presidents.

Lee was better than that....he was much more an enigma than Lincoln. Why did he fain respect for this man that wrought war and destruction on his family, his neighbors, his country? If Robert E. Lee honestly believed that Abraham Lincoln was an honorable man, then I do not undertand Robert E. Lee at all.
