Re: This day in the WBTS
In Response To: Re: This day in the WBTS ()

When I think of Heaven in reference to the WTBS, I am reminded of the Yanks helping the Rebs over the wall at the 50th anniversary of Gettysburg. True, there will be no sorrow, but I believe the regrets over those things which have passed away will be gone, not necessarily the memory of them, especially the good parts. Won't it be fun to listen to those old boys, perhaps newly boys again, chew the fat over those things which worried them so? When my mother in law was dying, she carried on conversations with those already gone. She was having her desk moved around in the room, as if preparing to teach school again. She told them about the election of Obama, and was introduced to the baby she had miscarried so many years ago. She called him "Baby Jay". Some folks may think she was simply delusional; not me. I watched her cross happily and peacefully over the bar, perhaps to rest in the shade of the trees, as Stonewall said. Stan
