Thanks Pam for your input.
I'm considering the mindset of people of that time pariod. For some today,It might seem odd that Confederate veterans participated in that parade during the early 1900s and if that was the case, what changed people's perspective about wars from WWI to WWII in regards to their former enemies. I dare say you would have seen Japanese or Germans veterans of WWII parcipating in such parades and even in regards to Sons of Confederate Vets. and Confederate Re-enactors of today which does not seem to have been an issue prior to WWI????
