Did you connect the story about the crops in this paper to the story, several days ago, from a Northern paper on the profits the Northern farmers were going to make selling food to the south; and the suggesting that Northern farmers back the Tarriff Bill to protect those profits?

I liked the mentioning of the Washington Artillery, one of my favorite Confederate units.
