In an upside down way, that makes sense. Even today, people or a party will use the misery of others to futher their agenda even if they really do not care about the ones they are using. By the time the game is figured out, it's too late and the damage, or the fighting has already gone into overtime. Since there is very little to no background much less real coverage of the CW in our classrooms, there are generations who will never understand the power of the press and the reality that politicians do not care about their concerns or problems. They have their own little list of to-do's and that's all they will work on. What many consider small details can make events in a certain time understandable. Like, I never read in a textbook that Lincoln wasn't on the ballot in the Southern states. Just imaging what's being omitted now. If we cannot get the entire scope from start to end on this one era, how can we ever hope or expect those coming into voting age or considering running for office see it's a dirty business at best?

As it is now, there's not much on the Revolutionary War. Once it has been taken out and with the delete button pushed on the CW, how can anyone believe they can make a difference. That we were formed because of different opinions on politics and religion but now no religion, very little to no political history, we're in big trouble. Because people are losing the ability to think for themselves, because it's all 'explained' on some media outlet, they will fall right in to the trap. Wouldn't be hard to sell them Soylent Green and they'll think it's a miracle meal. Very scary picture.
