"Suspended Animation". That's funny. Now the bungled hanging makes sense. It was a scientific experiment and probably going to be a circus side show.

Selma? Ok. Never heard that before. It seems there's a little more to things than we thought. For some reason, I had always believed the problems began after the CW with the preferential treatment toward the former slaves. I'm sure that was one reason for resentment but now it's taking on a new dimension. It wasn't just the Carribean Islands that were seeing this. One may wonder how much 'prodding' and encouragment was donated by some faction to this activity? This is just the NOLA paper. I wonder if there's others mentioned in papers in other places in the South.

Slave ships? They don't give the name of the company or person they were registered to. Wanna guess where they were based?

I like the Omnibus in Mobile. Really advanced in their thinking. At that time, Mobile was as busy as New Orleans. If anyone knows Mobile, I've an interesting tale of how Duval Street became Duval Street. He was one mean, vile, horrible person. And a thief too.

I know our courses in World History in public schools were sort of the short version so these reports from China are new to me. That's a lot of dead people.
