Appaloosas are nuts! The only horse I ever fell off.It took off at a full gallop while I was halfway on.Another when saddling up pulled back,broke the reigns and did a backwards somersault.As Stan said they have "Crazy Eyes" and probably crazy brains.Pretty horses but extremely nuts.

I believe it was at Monroe's Crossroads,NC on March 10,1865 when Wheeler,Hampton,Butler and the whole crew surprised Kilpatrick and got his famous spotted horse.Probably an Appaloosa.Well,Hampton returned the horse shortly after the war.Which is not surprising...It is unfortunate they did not get Kilpatrick at that time.I do not think they would have returned him...
