Re: The Secession Tradition in America

"It feels a bit hypocritical to be proud of something that my forefathers were willing to sacrifice all to resist. Does anyone else feel this way?"

No, I don't find it hypocritical. The reason is that our Confederate ancestors submitted to what they did because they had no other choice but they never submitted their rights to try and improve their situation. By that I mean the good fight of defending the Constitution as our founders intended has never been surrendered.

I almost get physically ill sometimes when I think of where my country is going. If you believe in Bible prophecy, and I do, then you have to know that eventually America is going to turn on Isreal. What do we as Americans do then? Should we continue to support a government that will be in direct opposition to Christ Himself? I may be losing friends by saying this but to quote Joshua... "As for me and my house, we will serve the lord".

Feel free to laugh. I am considered by some folks a nutcase. But only God's kingdom is righteous and eternal. All others shall pass away. At least the Confederacy won't be lined up with the anti-christ in the Megiddo valley when the great day comes.
