Using topomaps and looking at where the shore line used to be, I guess there was a small bluff. It would have been right at the shoreline and from the current sealevels it was about 10 to 15 feet high. I have an 1858 topo map (posted) that shows a very slight bluff with the light house in in the middle of bluff line about two miles long. Where the highway 90 bridge starts across Biloxi Bay, it was called Red Bluff and shows an even smaller line of bluffs there.
