Jamie, I don't really know that much about Confederate citations for bravery. My understanding is that they didn't want to use the metals to make the medals...sly play on words, eh :-). My g-g-grand-uncle Henry Eli Garrett lost two or three fingers on his left hand toward the end of the war. He was with the 11th GA Infantry CSA. Maybe some of my relatives in the SCV would have more info. on Confederate MOH's.
