I've used a digital camera at the Archives. Some things I learned: (1) Use a tripod to hold the camera steady; (2) You will not be permitted to use any type of flash; (3) You will have to retain the order of the papers in the file, so you may find it handy to make some of hand written dividers to help with your own organization.
