Are you saying the CSA had no need for European recognition?
I would suggest that most folks believe they needed more fighting men and that European recognition was very important. I am suggesting the solution of both problems was there and was not properly used.
You want sources, why do I need retype the book Alan cited? The sources are there, but you say you don't care if Alan cites them. Fine by me.
If you say there was no controversy about arming blacks as fighting soldiers then I guess it was a non-issue, and the CSA already had all the fighting men they needed to win. Thanks for clearing it up.
