As one who has studied and excised information on the confederate army for 35 years, I do believe there might have been a random body servant who entered the fight, but to say there were actual blacks enrolled confederate soldiers is highly unlikely. Why is is so important to try to prove this point? White confederates in general would not fight alongside blacks, remember this is 1861 not now. I think we should cherish the memory of these brave confederates and not try to legitimize the poor cause they fought for. Dont take it for granted that what was written by Douglas was factual he was building a concensses for his cause which was abolition.

To be honest I have never heard anything in my entire life as absurd as this post.It appears to me that you may have missed a few points along the way, but that is just my opinion. Feel free to post any factual material that dispuites anything I have posted.
