I'm fortunate Alan in that my GGGrandfather Charles D. Boyett was in one of those units that did seem to follow orders and thus had records. 53rd Alabama Partisan Rangers. They never would drop the "Partisan" part though. Point of 'honor' or silly 'pride', it doesn't matter really. Those of us with them in our genetic makeup are still sort of stubborn, for the most part. That genetic make up is why some of us will not just look the other way while our heritage is being eaten by the PC Machine.
