Please do not post, as factual information, your view of such things as the BP Gulf oil disaster, without qualifying that this is your opinion or belief. This matter is currently being investigated by experts and the federal government to determine the cause of the disaster and I'm sure litigation will result. I am concerned that such postings here might be viewed as sanctioned by these message boards and I must clearly state that our posters and their opinions or their representations of unresolved factual matters do not reflect the opinion of this message board or its ownership.

JakeO, you have posted a couple of political and current events postings recently, that "you know" are stretching the limits of what I can accommodate on this site. Please respect the privilege of posting here by not posting political advocacy message sor events represented as "fact", when you can not possibly know, BP's motives or the attitudes of their management and employees. I live in Houston and work along the Gulf Coast and this "disaster" is a single example of catastrophic failure of a well like this over a period of forty (40) years and many people here are suffering financial and personal loss due to this accident. Until this matter is settled and, at least, on these message boards, would you confine your postings to clearly identified opinion and please do not promote your political views?

In an attempt at fairness, let me also chastise "Edward" for his reference to the "Tea Party", that in his opinion was similar to the secessionist movement in the South prior to the war, to which you responded. However, your response, was not your opinion, but statements of fact regarding the "Tea Party" and its relationship with big business that went way beyond an appropriate response and are clearly things you can not know, but you are merely "parroting" some position taken by a political group or a liberal leaning media outlet.

So, let me state again, please moderate yourselves and respect the privilege of posting on this site.
