I never maintained such. If you had listed all of the reason that have been posted I would have readily agreed with you, you however simply passed the reason off as "maintaining slavery." That in itself is wrong.

Because we are continually find new sources and information from which to draw information. Let's just look at the new information that is being found about Black Confederates. I know to admit that fact rubs people on both sides wrong, but regardless we cannot simply ignore the fact. The numbers I am in some doubt about, but I provided sources for those numbers. If you dispute the numbers don't be rude and sarcastic to me find information to prove these numbers wrong and post these sources. Notice when I posted the OR references, the first thing anyone said these men were not armed, when the ORS clearly stated otherwise. That is not being objective.
I for one had no idea blacks even served in the CSA Army until I met a Col. Mike Kelly, of the 37th Texas (re-enactment) at a KKK protest. Col. Kelly is one of the premier researchers on minorities serving in the CSA. Come to find out he was protesting them for a couple of reasons one being there were black Confederates who served. I was told, by someone there, his wife was black, and her ancestors served, but do not know for certain. I do know his children would have ancestors in the CSA. Me I was simply protesting the KKK use of my ancestors flag.
