Dr. Levine may come across as a little smug because he knows the topic and has the facts (as you could see for yourself). Comments section was probably closed in advance becuase of the kind of rhetoric used by many Black Confederate advocates. Over the years, because I dared question the authenticity of the stories trotted out by BCAs, I've been on the receiving end of all kinds of "comments", and know what to expect in advance.

Here's an example for one of them.

I have the bad habit of not being able to let stupidity go unchallenged. I won't tolerate someone making stupid remarks as to why my argument is wrong and their argument is right...especially when they can't even argue the SAME SIDE for the entirity of the debate! As to expert witnesses....all Lee and Cleburne said, again, goes to OUR case. They were FOR blacks being in the Confederate army. As for Douglas and Greely...they TOO said blacks were in the Confederate army. Are you so stupid as to not see you are now arguing OUR case. Jesus! My 10 year-old could out debate you!

Because YOU have no knowledge of a statue being used as a basis for "historical argument", then everyone else MUST be wrong.....pure arrogance! PhD arrogance! And, even if no one has ever used a statue for "historical argument", that doesn't mean the subject matter is not thoroughly researched and that information used to accurately render the
subject matter. I know it to be FACT that most sculptors thoroughly research their subject BEFORE they go to work. Do you think historians are the only one who do research? Jeez...you just drip of arrogance! Do you seriously think you know everything about everything. God, I pity you.

Such calm, reasonable people. Wouldn't you like to live next door to this guy?
