Photo Young soldier in uniform

My friend and brother in the Lord, Chris Watts, has again struck gold in locating an old lost photo. The young man pictured below is Pvt. William James Ford, Company D, 7th Mississippi Infantry. The lady is contributing the photo to our collection lives in the house this man was raised in.

P.S. to David Upton... I have recently found in the The Official and statistical register of the state of Mississippi, Volume 1 that my 2nd great-grandfather Robert Middleton Roberts was in fact at the Battle of New Orleans with old Andy Jackson. The text reads that he "served as an Orderly Sgt. under General Jackson". Can you fill me in on your opinion of what this means. I know his wife Lovey Taylor Roberts drew a pension on his service. Should I order his service record if any exist? I am weak on study of records regarding the War of 1812.
