I also find out my wife's ggranddad served in four Union organizations, two of which faced my ggranddad in the 43rd Tennessee, CSA, once at Vicksburg, the USS Cincinnati, and the other time a year later at the Battle of Kernstown in the Valley, the 23rd Illinois.
