ATTN; Cump

Cump, I finally got enough time to sit and read your post on Col. Cross. Ya know, sometimes we view one side or the other as little more than statistics but the truth is every man on both sides was somebody's son, husband, brother or father.

I often think about why and how men get these premonitions of death and to date have come up with no conclussion. Is it a mercy from God, allowing them a chance to "settle their affairs" or "make peace" with something before they actually die? Is it just a random emotion that due to being involved in the bloody business of war sometimes comes true? What about the men who have this premonition and it doesn't happen?

I can't speak for anybody else but this is a topic I suppose I'll only understand on the other side of the river Jordan. Meanwhile, thanks for stirring up this subject. That was a good read.
