I read on hear a lot,but rarely post anything. However, I must pass down something that my grandfather told me years ago. His grandfather was the youngest of 9 boys(the other 8 went off to war) and being a teenager he stayed home from the war until he officially enlisted in an obscure little local outfit late. He talked about the war on occasion and he told my grandfather that "the blacks fought with us".
