The Christmas holiday must have been a tragic time in most homes during the war we discuss on this forum. Many chairs were empty around the dinner table and in many cases there ended up being no houses to have the dinner in the first place. While we verbally joust on the board about the politics of, tactics of or any other great subject of the war let us remember, lest it happen again, that it was real people who died and were crippled in the war. Real children became orphans and real lives were shattered. Let us remember that peace is precious and that we owe all thanks for all blessings to the Child born in a Bethlehem manger some two thousand or so years ago.
I often wonder what Christ would type in if He gave us His opinion of that terrible time in our nations history.
