We've had a lot of hand-wringing about differences between then and now. Does anyone care about what government specifics changed after (or during) the Civil War and provide historical detail (events, names, dates and places), or are we content to throw rotten fruit at conservatives in the media? At least GB does that. Last time I checked, President Lincoln died in April 1865. Are we supposed to believe he dictated subsequent Federal policy from the grave?
IMHO, since conservatives are routinely labeled racists at every turn, the gentlemen mentioned are virtually required to take a supportive position of Abraham Lincoln and emancipation. Otherwise they would be taken off the air.
Pam, I'm sure what Glenn Beck saw was a copy and not the original Confederate Constitution, and it does contain quite a bit of language concerning slavery.
