The Morgans were a bit patched and frazzled but they still maintain their social and political stroke after the war. "Met the new boss same as the old boss." I think you would like this book, much of it reads like a novel. I won't give much away but the older brother died in a duel at the start. For the life of me I can't understand code duello or whatever you would call it. Yes, I would shot to kill if someone invaded my home, I was in the military or defense of my family but this... you have insulted me suh and I must demand satisfaction... doesn't get it with me. Taking a human life isn't a social event to me. Now when I was a younger man in the Merchant Marine, I've gone out in the parking lot and threw some fist to settled a dispute but that was youth and ignorance. I reckon Alexander Hamilton would agree.
