I think you’re right with the “Perfect Storm” . Most in history, at least those I have read about, began with a number of mini- ‘Tempest in Tea Pots‘. These ’Tempest’ can become a toxic brew when mixed together in a communal caldron. I’m trying to not say something on today’s events but there is one thing that just shows how toxic it can get. A play, with children, singing a song about beheading Sarah Palin. Another idiot spouting garbage that the root of today’s ills stem from the Tea Party. A head of state, commenting on another head of state. The first head says something like “you can see the frustration on the face of the people” protesting in the streets but is oblivious to his own ‘peoples’ facial expression. Then you see the lawmakers ramming legislation through so fast no one has time to read it much less understand it.

Oh yes, I can see how it can happen. The caldron boils over and then the fight starts. Even then, not all of those fighting agree with each other. The one thing they do agree on is there must be something done to change the events that are happening that make the ‘storm’ powerless to stop in a smaller group. As a collective body, with some of their individual common goals as the catalyst, they become an army.
