I will admit that the term "Mindless" is a matter of personal opinion. I however, find very little entertainment in the present day lineup of Movies, Television show, or New York sitcom comedies.

As for the remake of "True Grit" I personally thought that it was one of the better more resent remakes. Not because it was better than John Waynes Movie, but because it treated the story in a more authentic manner than the original which made it an entirely different movie to me. Most remakes to me are not a gaurenteed money maker in my opinion. How many times are they going to make/remake the same "Batman", "Superman", "Spiderman", etc.

Yes, I know it all about the money, the whole world is about money. But to me imagination is severely lacking in the entertainment business. And as for the Unions, That is why the movie business has moved to New Zealand and Canada.
