Jamie...my one foray to Baton Rouge was when I was running track at OU and we attended the LSU Invitational. This would have been the weekend before or after Easter in 1979. It was beautiful there. I had my best race of the season- took 2nd place in the 800 meters. Several years later I traveled along the Mississippi River tracing my ancestor's route from when he was int eh Civil War. He was at Young's Point, Port Gibson and then in the Grand Gulf campaign (leading up to Vicksburg). Beautiful country all around.
