Re: First Land Battle of the WBTS

Yeah, Co. B. He was from Wilkes County. Wounded the first day at Gettysburg. Returned to service but was in and out of hospitals for the rest of the war. Taken POW in a Richmond hospital on April 3rd. He moved to California after the war and lived with an uncle. Never returned to North Carolina. I've got a bunch of ancestors that were in the 34th NC. They mustered in at High Point.
