We had the same problem as Joe, nobody wanted to be the Yanks. Growing up at Eight-Mile, we played Combat (I was always Kirby) and Davy Crockett on a pecan farm. In Mississippi we had horses to ride- almost ended my career when making a charge on "Trigger" at the Indian's fort, he got spooked and rubbed me off with a nearby pine tree trunk- everybody said I looked like a real movie stunt man rolling off the back of that pony onto the dirt- I dislocated my left shoulder and stove up my left leg. The war got out of hand when we burnt up 20 acres of trees during a bb gun fight- ah those we the days.
