It is of course Paul's letter to Timothy and the church and I understand it to mean basically don't split hairs over debatable issues as it does not edify anyone but rather leads to more grief. I apologize to all for using God's Holy Word to further my personal ideals.

You mean like being circumised or eating ham? The early church was made up of men, same wants and desires as us today. One being the need to quarell, Paul got into it with everyone ie John Mark, Peter, Demas and so on. As you said you aren't going to change any views and neither will he.

Certainly no need to apologize to anyone Jamie. Scripture can be edifying on all issues.
