Hello stranger! When I saw you mention the Mississippi board I got worried some of the "Roberts gang" may have been involved LOL!

Joking aside, our family endured a murder after the war also. My paternal 3rd great-uncle William Thomas Johns of my beloved Company C, 7th Mississippi Infantry was murdered near Woodville, Mississippi by what was called a "gang of roving negros" in 1912. He was robbed also. I have no information on whether his killers were ever brought to justice. At least in Ken's case he now knows some more details. Thanks for being alert to this.

P.S.__ I need to go over to Woodville one day and scrounge around for information on this. Woodville is about a 2 and 1/2 hour drive one way so it it may be one of those "someday I'll get around to it" deals.
