Yeah, most of 'em don't want to be bothered by facts, especially if the facts disagree with their opinions. We can be prepard for four years of being beat over the head with "slavery". I did get tickled tody listening to some democratic big wigs going on about Lincoln's "brilliance" in his speech about a "house divided." Finally the talk show folks were kind enough to point out that ol' Abe didn't write those words. Attibuting them to the Gospel of Matthew, they also noted that Lincoln did not need to cite his source, as people in those days had actually read the Bible, and would have been familiar with the phrase.
