Uhmm Jim? I think the frustration in finding a level playing field is why we are all here and other places that will not attack us for learning more of our history.

I doubt there will be any program that will allow a person, historian or not, who has anything positive about the South before, during or after that war. It is as much a hot tater now as it was 50 years ago. What seems to be forgotten or shoved to the nether regions in the reading rooms are the letters, journals, reports, whatevers of Union soldiers with anything showing respect toward the Southern soldier. Even 100 years ago it was ok to allow that to be made public.

I've got to think Rick Bragg is the smartest man on the planet right now. He said all Southern authors wrote about the same mule and no matter what was written, the mule was still dead before they started the story. That's profound if ya think on it. It's the story of us.
