I agree with that Edward in that Power is the root of most of the disturbances in History. If one has Power, they may overuse it. If one does not have Power, they may be trying to gain it. The cause/catalyst may be lost in the mess to dethrone, overthrow or obtain it. The History books are written with the events and players but the 'cause' may be one short sentence and that cannot cover both sides.

Ask a 10th grader why Henry VIII broke with the Roman Church. They have no clue. That's World History and we all know that American History is given less teaching time than World. No wonder we're sensing disaster coming. Not knowing is going to be a problem when a future generation attempts to repeat an act they didn't know failed and why it failed.
