I recently saw the Smithsonian Channel's presentation of "Born Fighting: Shaping of America" based on Senator Jim Webbs book. Although I don't agree with everything he says, his interpetation of the causes, effects and outcome of the Civil War was probably the fairest I've seen on modern television. It being a Smithsonian production, it was also a refreshing change to the PC stuff.
