That's pretty much it Jim. We face this argument just as they faced the argument over slavery. It's legal, but many do not believe it is moral. You can switch the wording but the argument is the same. Florida turned down a lot of Federal funding and it's not because of this issue but a couple of others than could give the 'big' government more control in our state. This is where we get into that sticky stuff. One wonders if 150 years from now (if there is still life on this planet) how the argument pro/against will sound. I hope there's not the apathy there is now on the Civil War but I'd bet it will be the norm.

There is systematic reduction on hours spent teaching Civics, History and Social Studies in the lower grades. If these kids do not understand what their role as caretaker of the nation will be, Big Bro wins.
